DIABETES
An herbal recipe based on Yacon, Pasuchaca and Camu Camu.
Over 40% of the US are Pre-Diabetes according to the
Discovery Health report from June 2006
"According Panamerican Health Organization over 20 million of people
in South America suffer of diabetes"
Diabetes is
a devastating disease that has early symptoms that can be prevented, controlled
or reversed with diet and nutritional supplementation. The elevated
blood sugar levels "diabetics" have ravage the body – effecting neurological,
cardiovascular and circulatory health, to name a few. With proper nutrition
you may be able to avoid the onset of the disease or possibly reverse
it. At first glance, one might say what’s the big deal about
diabetes or pre diabetes?
You have an elevated blood sugar and you have
to take some medicine, so what. Well, it is a bigger deal than most
realize.Diabetes can be an insidious disorder causing multiple
organs in your body to fail. Specifically, diabetes greatly increases
your risk of heart attack and stroke. As a practicing neurologist I
care for many patients with an acute stroke. And more often than not,
that patient is diabetic. The disease affects much more than these two important
organs. It can also cause progressive kidney failure leading to dialysis,
blindness from retinopathy and problems with circulation in your extremities.
A minor cut or abrasion on the foot in a diabetic can lead to dramatic situation as gangrene
and amputation of the foot or even leg.
Diabetics it is not a new disease but in later years there is an increase because the poor diet. rra food
The Yacon it is a herb that grow in in Peru amazon jungle
A recent study shows that people with pre diabetes or mild elevations of blood
sugar, have a dramatic increase in memory loss and shrinking of the
brain. Most overweight people will have elevated blood sugars. The ideal
blood sugar is probably lower than the current accepted range, less than
80 90 mg per deciliter is probably much safer than 100 120 or more. We suggest here to start taking Yacon to start regulating the sugar blood levels.
Another herb used for diabetics herbals treatment is the Pasuchaca originally from Peru has not yet been determined the mechanism for the action
of its components, but it is believed that helps to regulate the sugar blood levels and facilitates the absorption of glucose in
the muscle tissue, and it inhibits hepatic gluconeogensis (the mechanism
that converts compound non-carbohydrates to glucose). It provides glucose
to the body when it doesn't have dietary carbohydrates, and increases
in diabetics the reception of insulin to its receivers. Considering
that insulin doesn't exercise effect for the transport of the glucose
on certain cells such as tubular epithelium of the kidney, it appears
that Pasuchaca impedes the reabsorption of glucose through the tubular
epithelium; in this way, larger concentrations of glucose would be eliminated
in the urine than those presented under the physiologic conditions of

Diabetes Genetic factors
are likewise extremely important. Although diabetes mellitus is certainly
not equivalent to a malignant form of cancer, at times, it can cause
similar although slower deterioration in your body, eventually leading
to death.
Unfortunately, the treatments available in this country do
not clearly lower your risk of these potentially threatening complications
or reverse the disease.
There are things, however, that you can do that can
make a significant difference.
First and foremost, one must change his
or her diet, especially "if a person is obese". It is quite clear from
the medical literature as the Atkins’ Diet is the way to go.
Reducing
your simple carbohydrate intake can dramatically improve the level of
glucose in your blood. Dr. Daryl Ronsfelt,
a board certified practicing internist, rheumatologist and immunologist
is a member of the NSO Natural Science Organization, He says that after several
weeks ago that he routinely puts all of his diabetic patients on a Diet and has seen phenomenal results.
Many of his patients who
were on medication now find that their "diabetes is diet-controlled".
It is strongly I recommend that people focus on the healthy proteins including fish, nuts,
eggs, legumes, broccoli (50% protein) "versus" hamburger, bacon, steaks,
and other foods that are high in saturated fats.
There are multiple nutrients that you can consume that
can show significant benefit for diabetes mellitus and pre diabetes.
For unclear reasons, diabetics require larger amounts
of vitamin E. Studies in the medical literature have demonstrated that
consuming anywhere from 500 to 1200 units of vitamin E daily can even
potentially reduce the long term complications of diabetes mellitus. It may work by reducing oxidative stress and free-radical production.
The Vitamin E may also improve insulin action within your body. The B vitamins are critically important as well. In
a recently published study, a derivative of thiamine (B1), was able
to block particular molecular pathways which cause damage to the tiny
blood vessels (capillaries) behind the eye leading to diabetic retinopathy
and blindness. Vitamin B6 has been shown in clinical trials to provide
some protection against the onset of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
Vitamin B6 may work its magic by blocking glycosylation of proteins
which seems to be the underlying cause of diabetic complications. Vitamin
B12 can likewise have some benefit in certain forms of neuropathy, especially
B12 deficient neuropathy. Diabetic patients will also frequently benefit by consuming
supplemental amounts of vitamin B3 in the form of niacinamide. There
have been at least ten studies looking at niacinamide in either recent
onset diabetics or insulin dependent diabetics of less than five years
duration. Six of these studies were double-blinded and in three of the
studies positive effects were shown in terms of long-term remission
with lowering of insulin requirements and improved metabolic control.Vitamin
C is another important vitamin for diabetics so we suggest strongly to consider Peruvian Camu Camu as a powerful source of Vitamin "C".
The main function
of vitamin C is to help build a particular protein in the body called
collagen. It also helps with wound healing. Diabetics will frequently develop hypertension as well.
In a study published in the journal Hypertension December 2002, 30 patients
between the ages of 45 to 70 years old with Type II diabetes mellitus,
were randomly assigned to receive in a double-blind manner either 500
mg of vitamin "C" daily or placebo. After only one month, it was found
that those patients treated with vitamin C had a statistically significant
reduction in systolic blood pressure.
It was thought that the reduction
in blood pressure may be due to improvement of arterial stiffness in
patients with Type II diabetes mellitus. I suggest that include your diet program The Camu Camu, since it is non-acidic, retained longer and better absorbed.Several minerals are likewise extremely important for
diabetes mellitus, especially magnesium.
Studies have shown that magnesium levels are lowest in patients who have severe retinopathy. Magnesium
is essential for normal heart and cell function. All diabetics should
supplement their diets with at least 300 to 500 mg a day of magnesium. There are several herbal supplements as the and phytonutrients
that have been shown in clinical trials to improve blood sugar control.
Some of these nutrients include bitter melon (momordica charantia),
Glucosol and gymnema sylvestre. Another incredible nutrient for diabetics
is alpha lipoic acid. Numerous clinical studies prove the benefits,
including nerve benefits for this miracle antioxidant. Most studies
have utilized 600 – 1,200 mg per day.
We have been getting terrific feedback about the "Pasuchaca". Closer to
home, my sister-in-law, who suffers with diabetes mellitus, has been
on Yacon, Pasuchaca and Camu Camu for over a year. Since being on this herbals product, she has
required less of her oral diabetic medication. More importantly, she
has had an extremely unpleasant peripheral neuropathy requiring two
different drugs. Since being on Yacon and Pasuchaca , she is now off of these
drugs and is feeling a lot better. I am not sure which nutrient or nutrients
has/have been helping in this regard. I am sure using the right levels,
forms and combinations of these nutrients are the key to improving a
person’s diabetic status.
She also takes NSI Essential Fatty Acids (EFA) which
are likewise beneficial for diabetics and anyone wanting to promote
cardiovascular and neurological health. If you are one of the 20 million
diabetics or one of tens of millions pre diabetics in this country or
know of someone who is, I urge you to forward this newsletter to them
so they can get started on this program.Normalize Blood

A 2005 landmark study by researchers from the Harvard School of Public found an inverse association between type 2 diabetes and magnesium intake. The major recommendation from this study was for people to consume more magnesium rich foods.
